The need for blood is always present and it’s a simple and easy way for me to continue to save lives. I joined our Partners for Life team because I wanted to be a part of a group of individuals that shared my passion for giving blood, hear their stories about why they do it and share my story."

One of my favourite moments was when we ran our first-ever United Way trivia week remotely due to the pandemic. It was so lovely to witness staff laughing and egging each other on in a playful competitive way during a very stressful time while raising money for United Way. I’m happy we support organizations like United Way because they provide seamless access to many social service agencies while supporting their clients with their independence to feel empowered."

Hearts of Blue is a program that gives back and supports our communities on so many different levels. Being a home-grown Albertan and helping other Albertans through volunteering with Hearts of Blue helps me live my best life by caring for others while also enabling them to live a better life."
